Derek raised his head, the move exhausting him after all that fighting. He takes a deep breath, and his eyes set on Stiles’.

“You have to, get out of here Stiles, before they come back”

Stiles shakes his head in denial, determined not to leave unless Derek was by his side. He walks slowly towards him, holding his hand out cautiously. Although they had previously had contact, it was nothing like this, so precious, and tense. Derek bites his lip, holding back the tears.

He reaches towards Stiles hand and grips it tight, relying on Stiles to pull him up. Derek struggles,but eventually gets on to his feet. They hear a crash not far away, their heads flicker towards each other as stiles says “come on, lets get you out of here”.
